Suspense begets weight gain.
Denzel Washington, who goes from 127 pounds (the after cleanse weight) to 182 pounds for the character of Smalls in “2 Guns,” says the extra effort helps him stay in character during filming.
You look physically unhealthy.
It all comes from being tired. I work out everyday, more often than not, which is not something I usually do. I do cardio, more than I ever do. You’ve got to sweat in some ways in order to hold those roles. I just keep on working out, and take it as a natural progression, until I get myself in shape and stay in shape.
Dude, it’s a national emergency. We know you eat.
I believe in what I eat. I’m very careful about what I eat, what I drink, what I’m drinking out of. To be on a set, you’ve got to be energetic. It’s very controlled—the food, the water, the water…I eat as many carbs as I can, as many protein foods. It’s not that I don’t believe in eating out. I believe in eating clean.
What exactly do you believe in?
If you don’t believe in God and you don’t believe in Jesus, who did you ask for help? Nobody asked Jesus Christ for help. We asked others, other people, other communities, who do we know that can help us? The public, that’s who. So the way that I look at life, personally, is, I’m a glorified believer in the life of Jesus Christ, in the life of Gandhi. I’m not going to get into who the devil is, or the devil’s word or what the devil thinks. God is real, and he’s for real. We don’t believe in partaking of voodoo or rum.
